Designed and managed construction of this natural and site specific native plant community playground. Worked with staff and Naturalist to design playground for environmental awareness as well as play area. Site-specific native species were selected and approved by staff, and water features, gopher tunnel, outcropping stone, and tree fort were created and installed. The design was to have plants evolve as they mature and several areas are undergoing constant replanting for children’s education. Native meadow grasses create a natural lawn area for the children and staff. All on site storm water runoff is contained.
